1936 Sky King Trike

This baby blue Sky King Trike is pegged as a perfect gift for a prop-deprived children’s photographer, or an indulgent grandparent.

Even my little brother can ride the trike.  On the other hand, maybe you’re looking to go further back, to the trike your grandparents might have ridden.  This is classic and downright beautiful.

A new spin on an old favorite, this child’s tricycle is designed in the form of the famed 1936 SkyKing trike.  Coated with a powered blue paint and is also lead-free.

Your toddler will look sharp on this sleek adaptation.  This model features an adjustable seat with spring for comfort, a working headlight for when playtime runs into dusk, and solid rubber tires for whatever terrain the day may bring.

That Sky King is sweet-looking!

Radio Flyer Fold 2 GO Tricycle

When my now 3 year old was about 18 months old he became fascinated with his big brother and big sister’s bicycles.  I had began looking at tricycles but most were just too large for him and were made for 3 years and older. I came across this Radio Flyer Fold 2 GO Tricycle and was immediately intrigued by it and did the one thing I rarely ever do, I did an impulse buy and brought it home.

This is not the typical tricycle I had when I was a kid, this is the more modern tricycle for the up and coming toddlers.  The frame on this Trike is made of steel; the rest of the Trike is molded durable and easy to clean plastic. This Trike measures a mere 24″ x 15″ x 19 and only weighs about 23 lbs. so it is easy to carry and store.  This Trike is intended for children 18 months old and up.

The size of this Trike is a huge plus, while I have always had very large children they still seem to fit very well on it and they can maneuver it easily — around the kitchen, down the hall, circle the back bedroom, circle the office and back to the kitchen for a few 360s around the kitchen table.  The storage bucket on this bike is never empty, usually toting handfuls of hot wheels, balls and tools and the occasional doll my daughter will toss in just to laugh at her brothers. The bell on this Trike will send your children into fits of giggles while giving you a mind numbing headache at the same time.

Don t worry, if you have one of those really picky children like my daughter as you don’t have to settle for a red yellow and blue Trike.  Radio Flyer also sells this Trike in the original red and white trademarked with Radio Flyer and for that little princess in your life you can purchase the pink and purple one as well.

This is a wonderful Trike that will last for years to come, if you have or are planning to have multiple children because this Trike can be handed down from child to child.  I highly recommend this Trike to all moms of toddlers; the smiles you will get when they are riding are priceless!

Radio Flyer Classic Tricycle

The makers of the original little red wagon, Radio Flyer is the only company to produce plastic, steel and wood wagons. Radio Flyer is one of the oldest remaining national toy companies still owned and operated by the founding family.

When consumers wanted big air tires on their wagons, Radio Flyer gave it to them. When they wanted plastic wagons with cup holders, Radio Flyer produced that. They continued to innovate, while staying close to the consumer. Although still a relatively small company, Radio Flyer had managed to maintain its position since 1930 as the world’s largest producer of children’s toy wagons. In spite of increased competition, the company still held an estimated 70 percent of the wagon market as of the year 2000.

Aware that the company was a rarity in the fiercely competitive toy business, the company announced at the 2000 International Toy Fair that it would step up its licensing plans to spread its well-known brand name. The company had plans in 2000 to build two new model tricycles. One of these models is the Radio Flyer Classic Tricycle with chrome handle bars and fender, sturdy steel construction and durable steel spoked wheels with real rubber tires.

Radio Flyer’s Ride-ons put children in the driver’s seat of their imagination. Whether they are learning the rules of the road, taking a rocket ship to the moon, or winning the big race, Radio Flyer’s Ride-ons make childhood dreams soar. Classic retro styling and quality craftsmanship are features of every Radio Flyer Ride-On. These toys are classics, and can be passed on for generations of imaginative children to come. Radio Flyer Ride-ons help the dreams and wonder of childhood truly take flight.

55 Classic Pedal Car

It seems every year there is always new and different toys competing for our children`s attention.  Many of these toys come and go as children lose interest and move on to the ‘next big thing’.  But there are some toys, such as pedal cars, tricycles and ride on toys, whose appeal has lasted for generations.  The vast majority of these cars were made of pressed steel with real rubber wheels.

For many of us the fascination begins in early childhood and carries into adulthood, and then right on into old age. I am sure most of us treasure childhood memories of playing with a favorite toy.  For me, that special toy was a metal pedal car, well, it actually was my brother`s before he passed it down to me.

Man I loved that car!
