For many kids, the ability to play outside under limited supervision is their first taste of freedom. As they explore the neighborhood or even just the backyard, kids experience some limited version of independence. Bicycles ratchet up that independent feeling even further, as kids appreciate the ability to travel from place to place quickly and efficiently. And who doesn’t love the rush of wind in one’s hair?
But bicycles are old news, and children can hardly impress their friends by riding around the neighborhood on a rusty old bike. For them, a kids electric car is the pinnacle mode of transportation. These battery-operated vehicles are made to resemble race cars, motorcycles, go karts and even trucks. Electric cars also make for good practice years and years before a driving test is ever administered.

Thanks to some deep cover investigative reporting, which no doubt involved several highly uncomfortable exchanges over the Mercedes SL pedal car - don’t forget the cream! It has been discovered that Mercedes SL is indeed the envy of the neighbourhood.
Oh man, if money grew in my backyard, a real Mercedes SL would look good in the driveway. That would be like Christmas morning every day!
If you were having any doubts about whether you are demographically appropriate for the new Mercedes SL class pedal car, let me clear them up right now:
Wild horses couldn’t drag me away!

And for the dad who wants to instill in his kid an appreciation of the phrase, “They’re only original once,” there is a jalopy child’s pedal car, of simple pressed metal construction, painted pink, of a generic pre-War type sports car,
…and increasing order of general awesomeness!
Now how is it that a kid in a little tykes car is not only just fine but FREAKIN’ AWESOME?
Obviously, the difference is a father’s love….
Don’t let the old-timey photography fool you. The Jalopy pedal car is not an artifact of the past; it is a blueprint of the future.

There is nothing like passing down your favourite toy to your own children one day. One type of toy that has been very popular for passing down through the generations is pedal cars. There is just nothing like having a pedal car and to enjoy seeing your own child playing with it.
Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, which is why parents often beam with pride when a child begins to emulate them.
Kids love to be busy. Parents can parlay that boundless energy into some quality time with mom and dad. When dad works on home improvement projects, small children relish the chance to help out with a plastic hammer.
A pedal tractor fosters the child’s helpful instincts even further. By instilling early responsibility, parents lend their children a sense of accomplishment. The tractor is a fun way to get some exercise, and it encourages kids to appreciate the outdoors even more.

My mom recently passed away and while cleaning out the attic, I came across my old Chitty Chitty Bang Bang Pedal Car from the late 60s. It was popular when the first movie came out.
At first I was going to keep it as it brought back fond memories. Then, someone came to the house to purchase some old toys of mine and they have been begging me to sell them the car.
The pedal car is is good shape. It has a few scrapes as you can imagine, and part of the front mirror assembly is broken. Otherwise it looks great!
Any ideas?

This little train Engine is a cheeky, mischievous character, whose television adventures have delighted children around the world for years. Thomas the Tank Engine and similar television themed toys, regularly win awards for pre school toys of the year. There is even a pedal train modeled after him so the little one can ride along with Thomas and his friends.
Children love to identify with the television characters that they see, toys that are familiar to them. In Australia, Thomas the tank engine is on a mission to help kids with autism. The famous little engine and his friends, as reported at CNN.com, are stars of a new game, designed to help autistic children recognize emotions.
People forget how much better they had it as kids. When hours could seem like days and a favorite toy can be a childs best friend. Toys are powerful things you know. They are vessels for the imagination imbued with life through the simple act of play.

I’ve been obsessed with muscle cars since my early teenage years, but my passion for the Chevrolet Camaro in particular knows no bounds. In fact, my first car was a refurbished 1970 Camaro that my dad helped me to restore. Looking back now, it’s pretty incredible how much time and money I put into that car over the years. When I see people taking their cars for granted, neglecting their exteriors and going for months on end without maintenance, I cringe.
Now that my son is old enough to recognize and differentiate between cars, I’ve started buying him a series of 1/18 die cast cars. It should come as no surprise that his very first model was a 1968 Z28, a car remarkably similar to my own real-life pride and joy. I’m hoping that as my son grows older we spend valuable bonding time restoring old cars in the garage.
